Discussion Forums

SitepointI’ve always used discussion forums as a way to gather information, advice, tips, tricks and other helpful tidbits. Usually it relates to work (programming & web development), but I’ve also frequented fitness forums, music gear forums (Line6), and even forums specifically about my car (so that I could get some advice on hooking up the amp for my subwoofers to my car’s battery).

PHP forums are always active, as are JavaScript forums. I’ve always been on the lookout for a great CSS forum, but have never been able to find one that has high activity. Well, all that changed yesterday when I came across sitepoint.com. This site has a WEALTH of information, and a great community of developers. There are over 76,000 members for the discussion forums, and I’m pleased to say, the CSS forum is very busy.

As you can see, this is a grayscale version of the logo. I haven’t decided on colours yet.

As far as the colour scheme goes, I’m still working on it, so expect changes in the future.

It should be noted that nothing on this site (at least as far as the design goes) is permanent. Eventually I’ll redesign the site template so that it doesn’t look so much like Stopdesign. The logo itself will probably see many revisions until I design something that I’m completely happy with. And then it’ll probably change again!

Welcome to reinspire.net

Eventually, this site will be a personal collection of anything I feel like putting online. Pictures, thoughts, interesting links, etc. I’ll also have a blog on the site that will be updated regularly with anything pertaining to the world of Web Development. Design, Coding, CSS, XHTML, Standards… You name it, it’ll all show up at some point here at reinspire.

This site started off as a free blog on Blogger, but from the beginning I knew that was just a temporary home. Being influenced by sites like Stopdesign, mezzoblue, SimpleBits and Mike Industries, I decided that I wanted to start my own site mostly as a programming project to see if I could do it. I knew I could, but I thought I’d put it all to practice and actually produce something.
