NFL Week 11 Predictions

Note: Predictions for week 11 of the 2008 NFL season can be found here: NFL Week 11 Predictions.

NFL logoLast week I went 8-6 which isn’t that great. There were a lot of upsets last week, including a very entertaining end to the Monday night game (more later).

This week, the NFL goes back to a 16-game schedule now that every team has had their bye week. The weird thing is that on paper, this should be a fairly easy week to predict. Every single game has a definite underdog. However, this is the NFL, and nothing is guaranteed.

ESPN Expert Picks: Last Week | This Week.

These are my predictions for week 11!

Arizona Cardinals logoSt. Louis Rams logoArizona Cardinals (2-7) at St. Louis Rams (4-5) - The Rams have Marc Bulger, Tory Holt and Isaac Bruce back. The Cardinals still have no running game. Pick: Rams.

Carolina Panthers logoChicago Bears logoCarolina Panthers (7-2) at Chicago Bears (6-3) - The Bears have been playing very well this year. They are also on a # game winning streak. The Panthers have also been playing very well this year, and are on a 6 game winning streak. I think they’ll be able to give Chicago their 4th loss. Pick: Panthers.

Detroit Lions logoDallas Cowboys logoDetroit Lions (4-5) at Dallas Cowboys (6-3) - What a play to end that game on Monday night last week. The ‘Boys really pulled it out. Joey Harrington had a great game and got a win for the Lions. This week, I think the Cowboys have the edge. Pick: Cowboys.

Jacksonville Jaguars logoTennessee Titans logoJacksonville Jaguars (6-3) at Tennessee Titans (2-7) - 6-3 against 2-7, I don’t think anyone will pick the Titans to win this one. Pick: Jaguars.

Miami Dolphins logoCleveland Browns logoMiami Dolphins (3-6) at Cleveland Browns (3-6) - I’ll have to check back, but I think this might be the first time all year that I’m picking the Dolphins to win a game. They’ve just been playing pretty well the past couple of weeks. Pick: Dolphins.

New Orleans Saints logoNew England Patriots logoNew Orleans Saints (2-7) at New England Patriots (5-4) - The Saints just aren’t playing good football. The Patriots played well last week, but they are still really vulnerable. I think they’ll take the Saints though. Pick: Patriots.

Oakland Raiders logoWashington Redskins logoOakland Raiders (3-6) at Washington Redskins (5-4) - At the start of the season, I probably would have picked the Raiders to win this one. Both teams have surprised me in opposite ways. Pick: Redskins.

Philadelphia Eagles logoNew York Giants logoPhiladelphia Eagles (4-5) at New York Giants (6-3) - OK, so here’s my rant about last week’s game. McNabb throws an interception that cost them the game (sort of). The real reason I think they lost is because McNabb got injured on that play and then came back in to play the next series. I’m not sure who’s call it was, but if they would’ve put in one of their backup QBs, I’m pretty sure they would have been able to go down the field and kick a game winning FG. The Giants really should’ve beat the Vikings last week. They should probably make amends this week. Pick: Giants.

Pittsburgh Steelers logoBaltimore Ravens logoPittsburgh Steelers (7-2) at Baltimore Ravens (2-7) - Even without Ben, I think the Steelers should win this game easy. Pick: Steelers.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers logoAtlanta Falcons logoTampa Bay Buccaneers (6-3) at Atlanta Falcons (6-3) - Atlanta lost a tough one to Green Bay last week (which made me happy even though I got the pick wrong). Tampa Bay won on a very gutsy call by Jon Gruden. This should be a great game, but I’ll take the home team. Pick: Falcons.

Seattle Seahawks logoSan Francisco 49ers logoSeattle Seahawks (7-2) at San Francisco 49ers (2-7) - The Seahawks are probably the best team in the NFC right now. The 49ers are probably the worst. Pick: Seahawks.

Buffalo Bills logoSan Diego Chargers logoBuffalo Bills (4-5) at San Diego Chargers (5-4) - Will J.P. Losman play this week? I don’t really think it matters if the Chargers play their A game. Pick: Chargers.

Indianapolis Colts logoCincinnati Bengals logoIndianapolis Colts (9-0) at Cincinnati Bengals (7-2) - This is going to be a challenge for the Colts, especially with the game being in Cincinnati. This will either be a shootout, or a one sided game. Either way, the Colts should win. Pick: Colts.

New York Jets logoDenver Broncos logoNew York Jets (2-7) at Denver Broncos (7-2) - When the Broncos are 7-2, don’t pick anyone to beat them at home in the Mile High City. Oh, they’re also 5-0 at home this year. Pick: Broncos.

Kansas City Chiefs logoHouston Texans logoKansas City Chiefs (5-4) at Houston Texans (1-8) - The Chiefs probably wont make the playoffs this year, but I think they’ll still make it interesting. I don’t really have anything good to say about the Texans. Pick: Chiefs.

Minnesota Vikings logoGreen Bay Packers logoMinnesota Vikings (4-5) at Green Bay Packers (2-7) - The Packers finally got win #2!!! Finally! Anyways, I think they should be able to get #3 this week. All they need to do is stop the Vikings special teams, something that the New York Giants couldn’t do last week. If the Packers can come away with this win, and my other predictions for the NFC North teams all fall into place, Green Bay can move up 1 game and possibly get themselves on a roll. Mathematically, they could still make the playoffs. Pick: Packers.
