NFL Week 9 Predictions
October 30, 2007, 6:48 PM | 4 Comments
I’m still pumped up about the Packers win last night! Their 6-1 start this season has been so exciting to watch as a Packers fan, and most NFL fans in general will agree that it’s really nice to see Brett Favre having success this season. I’m so glad that he stuck around to play again this year, because there isn’t one person in the NFL that’s more fun to watch than Brett.
Last week I had a really good week going 11-2 to bring my season total at the mid-way point up to 81-35. I would say that so far this season, even though there’s been a lot of surprises, upsets and blowouts, I’ve faired pretty well. That’s about as much bragging as you’ll ever hear out of me though, because I know that every weekend in the NFL is different and so many things can change on any given Sunday.
NFL Week 8 Predictions

Alright, so week 8 brings us another 13-game schedule and I’m hoping I’ll do better than the last 13-game week where I went 8-5. Last week I did pretty well though with 11 correct picks, so hopefully I’ll be able to keep that trend going.
One of the big stories this year has been how well the Patriots are doing. Yes, it was expected given their off-season shopping spree, but even “Spy-gate” appears to have made this team stronger. The Patriots are pretty much putting their opponents away in the first half and then setting the cruise control (with the exception of whatever it was that Matt Cassel was doing last week) and coasting to victory week after week. How can any team beat them?
Web Directions North 2008

Web Directions North is coming back to Vancouver, Canada for the second straight year! Last year I was fortunate enough to attend the conference and I really hope I can make it again this winter.
Haven’t heard of Web Directions before? Well, maybe you’ve heard of the “Web Essentials” conference series that started it all in Sydney, Australia? If not, that’s fine, but just so you know, there’s a lot of good history behind these conferences and they’re put on by some really great people.
NFL Week 7 Predictions
October 16, 2007, 6:44 PM | 9 Comments
We’re 6 weeks through this NFL season and there have been a lot of interesting moments, stories and developments. Each team is now about one third through their schedule and some are looking either really good, or really bad right now.
Last week held a number of upsets and I only managed to correctly pick 8 games out of the 13 on the schedule. At this point though I think I’m about ready to start writing off some teams. Cincinnati is one that comes to mind right away because after losing to the Chiefs, the Bengals are really in a hole in the AFC North. Yes, anything could happen, but this team just doesn’t appear to have the character to really get it together in time to make a difference.
NFL Week 6 Predictions

I’m in Boston this week for some training for the new job and they’re keeping us pretty busy. With that in mind, I’ll have to keep this week’s entry pretty short to make sure I still get it published on time.
Last week I faired pretty well with an 11-3 record to bring my total for this season up to 51-25. It was a crazy week again, but that’s all part of the fun! Huge thanks to Eric for TiVo-ing the Packers game for me! Even though they lost, it was still good times! I owe ya one.
NFL Week 5 Predictions
October 2, 2007, 10:09 PM | 5 Comments
In every NFL season there always seems to be one or two weeks during the year that just make you scratch your head. Last week was one of those weeks. I was only able to make par by going 7-7 with my picks to bring my total to 40-22.
They only thing that makes me feel a little bit better about all this is that no one else was able to predict the craziness that happened last week. Week 4 was one of those weeks that really makes you question the assessments you’ve started to make about certain teams. Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Cincinnati and (of course) San Diego are all making me think twice about how good (or bad) I initially thought they would be.
New(er) Beginnings

This may seem like déjà vu to the regular visitors of my site, but life is changing again. After a brief cup of coffee at Blue Coat Systems (actually, several cups thanks to the impressive coffee machine in their kitchen) and an unfortunate incident involving my car, I have decided to take my career on an exciting new adventure.
